59 years ago today Mom and Dad eloped. Mom was 18 and had just graduated from High School in June and Dad was 22. Mom wore her graduation dress, she had to sneak it out of the house so her parents didn't ask her what she was going to wear that dress to. They took 2 friends as their witnesses and got married in Grand Rapids. Later the family had a reception for them. All Mom ever wanted to do was get married and have babies! That she did and she was crazy about Jack!~picture taken 10/07, 5 months before she went home to be with Jesus. Miss you Mama!
