Picked up Alex and Ashley after school and we celebrated Ashley's birthday. She is looking into a magnification mirror trying to see the pores on her face that she just read about in a book I gave her about how your body works. Then she was trying to see her finger prints that she just learned were different from anyone's in the world. She just loves to learn........

Trust in the Lord
Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God. -Corrie Ten Boom
When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don't throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.-Corrie Ten Boom
So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. Hebrews 10:35-36 NLT

Happy 90th Birthday Isabel Hart!
Grandma Great with Brianne yesterday during the swimsuit modeling. Stacy and her Grandma Hart. Charlie and his "Nanny". Isabel has been apart of my life since I can remember and is my sister's Mom in law. She has always fed us well. When we were teenagers in youth group she kept us supplied with homemade dill pickles and unbaked cookies. Still my favorite treats. She makes great Caramel rolls. They are Alex's favorite! Today was her big day and they had a big party for her back in Deer River. Bummer. I missed being there because I could not get off of work but I did get to see her yesterday. We love you Isabel!
Brianne loves this picture
Brianne loves this picture and wanted me to take a picture of her with it. It is a Four Generation picture taken with her Great Grandma Reed, her Grandma Cindy and her Mom Stacy. I told Cindy she will have to make a copy for her and frame it for her room so Brianne can look at it whenever she wanted to.
Stacy, Brian, Brianne and Joshua came home!
Stacy and family came home for the weekend. I have not seen them since August and the children have grown so much. Cousins Joshua and Colin, Stacy and Josh, Grandma Cindy and Brianne having deep conversation, Brianne in one of her many poses and sweet Joshua with his train. They are so fun and gave me many good laughs! Oh how fun it is to be a Great Auntie!

One year ago today Mama went to be with Jesus....
Mother's Never Die
You have never lost your mother
though you've said your last goodbyes
though there's heartbreak in parting
no one's mother really dies.
If you love to hear the old songs
for the memories they bring
it's because you had a mother
who taught you how to sing.
If you stop to help a neighbor
search your heart and you will find
it's because you had a mother
who's taught you to be kind.
If you go to the church when weary
seeking God to guide your way
it's because you had a mother
who's taught you how to pray.
No, you've never lost your mother
though you've said your last goodbyes
through your thoughts and deeds she's living
no one's mother ever dies.

First Day of Spring....Bah Humbug!
So much for the first day of spring. I picked up Alex and Ashley from school and when we were in the restaurant having an early dinner it snowed 2-3 inches of heavy snow. Came back to my house and Ashley played outside for 1 hr and I called Alex in after 1.5 hours. He shoveled the driveway and they made a tree instead of a snowman! They say tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and 45!

Special Friends Come to the Northland!
What a fun ~24 hours we had with Gerrilyn Kanowitz and Daughter Karlyn and baby Levia with Cousin Larissa visiting from North Carolina! What a fun house with such sweet ladies! Levia is 6 months old now and is very expressive and loves to use her voice, I am sure she will be a singer someday! God is so good to put such special people in my life!

A thought for today....
During World War Two, Corrie Ten Boom and her family were taken from their home and placed in a Nazi concentration camp. She miraculously survived the horrors of the camp, but suffered the loss of her entire family. Later on, as she looked back over those dark days in her life, she was able to say, “I know that with Jesus the worst can happen, the best still remains, and His light is stronger than the deepest darkness.” She could say this because Jesus was her life, and she had learned through the most difficult experiences of life, that nothing and no one could take from her what mattered most.
~After reading her book the quote from her that stuck in my mind so well was "There is no pit so deep, that God is not deeper still." ~Susan

Happy Birthday Auntie Pat!
Happy St. Patrick's Day
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Irish quotes and poems....
I was looking up some Irish quotes and poems in anticipation of St. Patrick's Day and this one made me smile.....
“May those who love us, love us; and those who don't love us, may God turn their hearts; and if He doesn't turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we'll know them by their limping.”
“May those who love us, love us; and those who don't love us, may God turn their hearts; and if He doesn't turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we'll know them by their limping.”

Move Ahead With Freedom
To move ahead with confidence is to know that there is a God who goes before you as your captain and your guide.
To move ahead with freedom is to know that that same God is behind you as your rear guard to keep you from being defeated by any failures or disappointments of the past.

Follow Me
When Jesus walks into your life,
He comes with scarred feet;
He comes as a servant—
He greets you with a basin and a towel;
He calls you to follow Him by taking your hand in His—
Letting His wounds assure you that you will never walk the path
He has chosen for you without His presence.
