Boreal owls

Delia and I were on the hunt for boreal owls that had come down from Canada looking for food. This photographer saw this in his back yard in Two Harbors. From talking to a local man he said we were about one week late. They had been seen on the Alseth Road. We talked to a young man from Mpls and he said he found a dead one in a park in Two Harbors and he was bringing it back to Mpls. to be studied . It looked like this one, only smaller. I had heard that they were already weakened from the journey, so many were dying. Sad, as they are so pretty!! We enjoyed our adventure!!
