A visit to our family cemetery~Olivet in Morse Township

Grandpa and Grandma Reed's Headstone. I believe the rose depicts my aunt Rose Reed Sherman who is also buried there.
The trees, blue sky and the snow were so beautiful!
Sandi loved this tree, she thought it would make a great painting.
This silhouette of a soldier bowing down to pay respect to the military part of the cemetery. Our Uncle Orval Reed is buried in this section, he died in WWII.
Note how big this tree is, almost like this tree is watching over our loved ones.
Our dear Mama was buried here but we know she is not here she is in heaven waiting for us.

For some, cemeteries are uncomfortable, for me I find comfort as it makes me feel close to those who have gone on before us,~Susan

Tammy read a children's story to the little ones about the real meaning of Christmas.

Some of the family was missing due to illness or work commitments, even tho we missed the ones who were not there this year, it was very enjoyable. I think the children like the swimming best and I think the ones that swam will sleep well tonight! Thanks everyone for the yummy Christmas dinner!

Christmas Morning 2012

I worked nights over Christmas and just had to drive to Canal Park on Christmas morning before going home. It was -2 and so cold, but I was so thrilled to be at Canal Park all by myself to say "Happy Birthday to Jesus!"

Christmas Dinner with "The Girls"

We love getting together for Christmas and each other's birthdays. We used to call our group "The Old Maids of the East and West" but now we all live west of the city and 2 are married, so we refer to ourselves as "The Girls!!!"

and Susan~~ a good time was had by all, the snow and ice did not keep anyone away. The 36 degree temps lasted all evening. Evelyn took a slow time going home over the hill because of the fog, but all were safe. We are grateful for our friendships all these years!! Merry Christmas Dear Friends! Love all the gifts from you!!
