Yvonne Arlene Eider was born on November 4, 1954 in Duluth to Ervin and Myrtle Eider. She went home to heaven October 17, 2011 surrounded by loved ones. She was a member of Duluth Gospel Tabernacle where she taught Missionettes for 33 years and Sunday School for 28 years. She was known for her very creative craft projects that made a lasting impression on the children who created and the parents who received them. She was also very active in other Childrens and Missions ministries at church. Throughout her life, she went on a mission trip to Mexico and 12 medical missions trips to Nicaragua. While serving the Lord, she touched the hearts of many - both home and abroad. Her entire career was spent working for the Duluth Public Schools, the last fourteen years as the head secretary at Morgan Park Middle School. She loved her job and the people she worked with. Family and traditions were very important to Yvonne. She enjoyed attending activities for her nieces and nephews, yearly trips to Florida and North Dakota, spending Saturdays shopping at the mall, game nights with cousins, and get-togethers with her girlfriends. In her younger years, she coached both broomball and softball for Memorial Park. Yvonne was amazing in every aspect of her life. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, auntie, and friend. Although she had no biological children, she was like a 2nd mom to her nieces and nephews, and grandma to her great nieces and nephews. She was welcomed into heaven by her dad, Ervin, brothers Dwayne and Dean, and sister Raylene (Eider) Gilbert, many close cousins, a brother-in-law William Gunnarson, and other friends and relatives.Yvonne was deeply loved and will be missed by her mom, Myrtle, sisters Dianne, Karyl Gunnarson, Melanie (Rich) Lindbloom; sisters-in-laws Kimberly (Frank) Moncrief, and Debbie Eider; nieces and nephews Tamika Gilbert, Denise (Brent) Peterson, Desiree (Darrell) Weets, Stacey (Kevin) Casterline, Samara (Josh) Roberts, Elizabeth Gunnarson, Billy (Brittany) Gunnarson, Jake, Cory, Cassandra and Kristopher Eider; and 13 very beloved great nieces and nephews.
