Delia and I took this great tour that included this Seitaniemi Housebarn that was built between 1907-1913 and is the only standing housebarn in the US. They are restoring it at present. 4 buildings that are connected together~the first is the home, the horse stable, the hay barn and the cow barn.
Here is a picture I took of a photo of the housebarn when it was a functional farm.
This is an old sauna on another farm. Next to church the sauna was the next sacred place. They often had used it for a birthplace because it was warm and sterile, and some people used it as a place to die because it was so comfortable and sacred.

Do you remember the counselor who had his brother carry him out to the raft on his shoulders?
I do not remember it even. Wish you and Delia and I could get together and hash over our memories!
