Psalm 100
A psalm. For giving thanks.
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations

GAS PRICES
I was able to get gas for $1.85 here in Duluth yesterday! What a thrill to buy a tank of gas for $30+ dollars! How long will it last? I will be thankful for every tank I fill! The highest I ever paid in Duluth was $4.05 per gallon!

Happy Birthday Nurse Sugars!
We celebrated Eileen's 54th Birthday at the Northland Country Club @a Spa Party. Here the birthday girl is enjoying the eye pads to decrease the bags, while getting a neck and head massage. Us night nurses could always multitask! Toni and I were with her enjoying the relaxing hand and face massages and the so called relaxation time. The 3 of us could not stop laughing, one would of thought we were in junior high! Nothing like a good laugh with a good friend!

Visit with Marty and Faith Frykman
I was running late to church this morning and I was mad at my self for dilly-dalling around the house and then rushing to get to 2ND service! When I got there first service was running late and people were just coming out and I ran into Marty and his bride. Marty used to go to Glad Tidings and went to Nicaragua with us once. They now live in Dallas Texas. They came home for deer hunting! Yea, Marty got his deer but Faith who is from the Philippines thought the whole deer hunting thing was kinda boring. (I agree). Both of them are nurses. They came over this afternoon for coffee and we had a nice visit. I guess running late was part of God's plan for me today because I would of missed seeing them had I been on time!

1221 East 11th Street Owners
Alex, Ashley and I were at McDonalds on Central Entrance today and I ran into Pete Dingle and his 2 children, Oscar age 6 and Eleanore age 2. Pete and Sara bought my house 3 years ago. This is the first time meeting Eleanore, she is all girl and Oscar had not changed, just looks older. They have put a metal roof on the house, insulated the attic with new windows and plan to make a bedroom for Oscar and his 6 year old cousin, who now lives with them. They put a deck on the back of the house and took out the piano window in the dining room and put in a patio door. Can't wait to go and see all the improvements. I was sorry to miss Sara, but she was working!
Nursing School Friends!
Had dinner out last night with 2 friends from Nursing School. Lois Wilson Opseth on the left and Carol Pearsall Brankin on the right. We had a lot of laughs and have just started to make some plans for our 35th Nursing School reunion next summer..........we don't look that old do we? Lois still works at St. Luke's with educating new employees and Carol works in a Day Surgery Center near Chicago.

A week with my Sister Sandi
I had the pleasure of having my sister Sandi visiting me for a whole week. I was blessed to be off of work 6 out of the 8 days she was here. she loves to organize. Eat your heart out, look at this guest room closet of mine! She even has things labeled! I could not go on without my Wizard of Oz tin signs so we put them up in my garage! (We all have a little bit of child left in us!!) My black and white family photos were packed away for 3 years and they were asking to come out so they proudly sit on my hallway wall. Sandi climbed on a ladder to put some of the nails in some of the projects. When she would have to get to the 2nd rung of the ladder I would have to help her with her left foot. We are pathetic but we get things done!! We talked about Mom a lot saying "she would kill us for standing on this ladder!". I realize I did not take a picture of Sandi this weekend, but here is her and Mom a year ago! Thanks Sandi for all the work you did for me around the house, she is pretty handy! PS. She even gave me a pedicure last night!
Happy 26th Birthday Robert John Reed!

Mom and Dad's Grave Stone
We have a new President-Elect!
I was not happy with the selection of Obama for President, because his liberal views scare me, but they do not scare God! God is still on the throne and has a plan for you and me if we trust Him. It was exciting to see all the people who came out and voted! Now we must pray for our soon to be new President that He will seek God and make decisions that will be best for our Nation.

My Newest Neighbor
Baby Ned Daniel was born October 16th to my townhouse neighbors Dan and Melissa Schierschmidt. He was 9lbs 3 oz and 23 inches at birth and today weighed 9lb 14 oz. I met him for the first time today. He slept the whole time I held him. He is so sweet. Here he is with his Mommy Melissa. His Daddy Dan was fixing one of my closet doors that went off the track so he missed being in the photo (we will catch him next time)!
