Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing. ~Isaiah 40:46 NIV

Yvonne

A year ago today my dear friend Yvonne went to be with Jesus. I miss her so. She knew me so well and we shared experiences that only her and I knew. I miss those chats and those laughs! I miss when she called me "Susana"!
 Sweet Seesters were we!
10 years ago we had our group picture taken. Toni, Elaine, Yvonne, Susan and Evelyn. We celebrated each other's birthdays, Christmas, went to Bible studies together and knew we could always depend on each other.
Same time as the above picture but we dressed up a little! zig zag : Yvonne, Evelyn, Susan, Toni and Elaine!
10 years later we still are friends and God Blessed us with friendship with Dianne, Yvonne's sister. zig-zag : Evelyn, Susan, Dianne, Elaine and Toni. We are blessed!!

My Prayer.....

I, Susan Reed, belong to God, I am a holy vessel because I have the Holy Spirit of the Living God. The Lord of Heaven and Earth has said over me “I declare you holy.” Today I commit to start believing what He says. I am holy. Empower me daily, Spirit of the living God, to treat myself as holy. Open my eyes to every scheme of the enemy to treat me as if I am not. You, God, are God. Your word is truth. This day, Father, I choose to believe You.

In Jesus’ name, amen and amen.

(this was a prayer we all prayed after our video session of the beth moore bible study on daniel session #5 "the writing on the wall......")

Duluth's Pink Bridge

Pink bridge

Duluth's iconic Aerial Lift Bridge was bathed in pink light on Friday night to call attention to the fight against breast cancer.

The pink lights, courtesy of the American Cancer Society, were in advance of Saturday’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” 5K walk at Lake Superior College.

Colorful displays are an increasingly popular way to draw attention in efforts to raise money and overcome deadly diseases. In early February, the Fitger’s smokestack was bathed in red light as part of the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” campaign. On Sunday, the Interstate 35W bridge in Minneapolis took on purple lighting for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

The Making Strides event, held earlier today, is in its 20th year nationally and its third in Duluth.

Another lovely day in the Northland!

I could not control myself, I had to take a few photos on my way home. Last week-end was peak for our leaves, but the beauty still continues!! I will be sad when they are all down!

Deanna Johnson Nelson, St. Luke's class of 1979 and former co-worker of  ours in the CICU has come from Alaska to help her cousin get ready for her Aunt's Memorial service this week. We were able to spend a couple hours with her over lunch and it was a great time to catch up on her life!
Bonnie, Carol, Toni, Susan and Deanna shared a great meal at the Green Mill!!

Morning on Skyline Drive ....further east

 Foggy sunrise in the Northland.
Our Lift Bridge that Duluth is so famous for,
I love silloquettes!
The vibrant colors, I cannot stop admiring them. God created such beauty for us because He loves us!
Love that orange color. Soon our leaves will be down and another season will come.....
 The Blatnik High Bridge!
 The Bong Bridge!
West side of the city and its industries.
Saying goodbye to the Bridge for another day, What a great way to end a nightshift!
